The Hydration for Health Initiative opens a call for abstract submission by young researchers in the field of Healthy Hydration. The young researcher who submits the winning abstract will be invited to present his/her research and results orally at the 4th Annual Hydration for Health Scientific Conference.

More importantly, it offers the wider healthcare professional community the opportunity to comment and engage in discussion and debate with their peers.

European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) – Scientific Opinion on Dietary Reference Values for Water

Dietary reference values indicate the amount of an individual nutrient that people need for good health depending on their age and gender. The European Commission asked the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to update previous European advice in this area, taking into account new scientific evidence and recent recommendations issued at national and international level.
For the first time water is listed as a macronutrient, with recommended water intakes.
