EB (Experimental Biology) - Chicago 22-26 apr.

On Apr 26th, Jeanne Bottin (Hydration For Health initiative / Danone Research) will participate in the symposium "Hydration and Vasopressin beyond the Kidney". Her speech will treat the following topic : "From (de)hydration science towards biomarkers for hydration for health"

Symposium : Hydration and the vasopressin hormone, beyond the kidney

The vasopressin hormone responsible of renal water saving is also involved in physiological or clinical situations at the frontier of « stress » (Prof.I.Tack)

There is a delay of ten min between the ingestion of water and its full absorption into the bloodstream, thus explaining how drinking can quench thirst within sec (Prof.D. Bichet)

Urine osmolality (500mOsm/kg) and urine color may be used by researchers, clinicians, and individuals as simple indicators of optimal hydration. (Dr. J. Bottin)
